Do you still take lunch breaks (if so how long) or do you usually just work through lunch now at home?

I always had lunch from desk at work, so nothing really changed. Since I am home, I may take one if I have to run an errand or do a quick chore.

like

I usually take a siesta during my lunch break. Anywhere from an hour to 90 minutes depending on my workload for the day.

I haven’t taken a lunch break since I worked in retail in my freshman year of college

Not really a brag, just an honest reply to the post but alright

like

Yeah I still take a break and eat with my family. Usually 30 to 45 minutes.

likeuplifting

Yep, around an hour unless I have something pressing to do

like

I take an hour break for lunch and keep my calendar blocked - 30 mins of workout and get refreshed and then lunch last 10 mins that continues into my next meeting. It’s very important to take care of health and company offers the flexibility and encourages to take breaks and even block time as needed. So, I make sure to use it for fitness.

I used to not take breaks, mainly so I could get done earlier and go home. Now that I'm home, I take more breaks (including lunch whenever is convenient) and just do work whenever. I also have set boundaries with my team so they do t expect (or are expected) to work late

like

Disagree. Partners give general direction, and it’s the poor manager who translates that into a bunch of unnecessary work to impress the partner.

Normally take about 30-60 min for lunch every day, depending on how busy I am

like

An hour lunch with my daughter and husband - 30 min walk and then 30 min lunch but I take breaks throughout the day since my daughter is home

like

I have lunch with my wife most days working from home. Also in the office eating lunch at the desk is not allowed. I don’t think they can make it illegal per se but it’s simply not a thing.

like

I take the break to go for a run (30-45 mins). I then eat at my desk and then go to the gym at around dinner time!

like

2-3 hours. 1-2 hour breakfast break. 2-3 hour dinner break

like

I take at least 30 mins and have lunch on my balcony. I’m trying to be intentional with getting vitamin d exposure now I’m working from home

like

I use it to make up for the work I don’t get done in the first hour of my day.. I prefer waking up and reading a bit, drinking coffee and then doing work on my lunch.

like

An hour to shower, eat and walk my pup. I work at least 2 more hours each day than I usually did since I don't have a commute. Im usually not big on mid day breaks, but its become my routine due to Rona.

I try to walk or do yoga everyday at lunch. I take about 45 minutes. It’s a nice break from the computer and phone.

I always took a lunch break when in the office, but now that I’m home, I often don’t. I’m definitely starting to regret that.

Been using the lunch hour to walk my dog, then eat throughout the day whenever I have time between meetings.

Hi! Does anyone know how much a logistic specialist makes in BC Canada?

Hoping someone here can help. I have two excel files, each with multiple worksheets, because they have different audiences. Management wants me to combine into a single workbook. Is there some way to restrict who can see which worksheet in this new file? Every user will fall into one of two groups. Alternative suggestions welcome!

How long to wait for an outcome of a job interview?
Feeling anxious - last week I had 5x half hour interviews for a job that I really think I am suited for and I think the interviews went well, but there wasn't a firm timeframe given as to when they would make their decision. I did email HR asking about next steps and they just said that they were meeting a few more candidates before making a decision. How long is it reasonable to wait? Or should I get in touch with the hiring manager directly?

That’s what I’ve done at my last 3 jobs so I feel I’d be a good fit. 7 YoE, and I want to work remote/hybrid. Is asking $85K too much?
