If you're sending things to a client, you should use what's compatible for them.

like

Index match or bust

Xlookup doesn't exist on our versions of excel

like

Index match has a certain swag around it. People who use xlookup were vlookup'ers back in the days when GOATs🐐 used index match and everyone🤡 else used vlookup

😂😂😂🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻😂😂🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻

like

Xlookup the GOAT for one reference array lookup. Index match match the GOAT for table lookups

like

There is only one useful advantage to use Xlookup over index match

Xlookup is just a new, cool function but it ends there

like

That's the only advantage of Xlookup

like

I use XLOOKUP if I know the client has Office 365, but I still use INDEX/MATCH/MATCH because it's more intuitive for me than the double XLOOKUP

Do firms pay out bonuses to senior associates moving in-house? I just got an in-house offer yesterday and will be leaving a NYC biglaw firm later this month. Is it common for firms to pay out the annual bonus if you ask? Would they just pay the prorated amount? I will likely be in a position to hire my firm as outside counsel once I’m at the company. Best way to ask for the prorated/full bonus?

Need to build a macro or python script to convert client spreadsheets to an import template. They are storing a process ID, metadata asset 1 (col B), metadata asset 1 attribute 1, asset 2 (col D), and asset 2 attribute on a single line. On our template, that should be 2 rows and then assign certain values based on the row being populated by col B/D. At a high level does this sound macro worthy or just start with python? I can give more details if needed.
