Do you take interviews if recruiters say your comp requirements are “a bit out of range, but we could get approved for more?”

I don't do interviews unless the comp range has been quantified.

like

Depends on why I agreed to talk to the recruiter.

Keep in mind that big 4 are all cash. You might have to take a lower base to get equity, bonus, options, etc. know what you need to jump and know how to determine the npv of different comp components and start wheelin’ and dealin’

Say you are interviewing for a role and you know you HAVE experience but you also know there are gaps in your knowledge that may be an issue upon starting the new role. How do you explain this in an interview without over or underselling yourself?

All -
I am interviewing for a Strategy leadership role at a SaaS company. A bit rusty on interviews so crowdsourcing from senior folks here, what are best practices or good examples of certain behavioral questions.

1. What is your weakness? I can talk at length about strengths but unclear what weakness to state so as to not mess up my chances.

2. Where do you see yourself in 5 years? This question is tough because there aren't very many levels above me so cannot say in an EVP role.

Whoever said employers don’t care about grades and transcripts after your first job was a liar. Every lateral position that I’ve applied to as a 3rd year has requested transcripts. Why do we lie and tell grads that employers don’t check transcripts when they do. My coworker, a 5th yr, had to submit his transcripts also to lateral job. Side note - it speaks volume when multiple associates are trying to lateral at the same time
