I definitely don’t expect any return this summer. But that’s stating the obvious. On the extreme end, I wonder if we return to offices this year at all. “Take the subway, ride an elevator, and sit in an open office 5 days a week” feels like a tough sell for us folks who’ve been working from home through all this.

I think agencies are going to be consolidating their real estate and having more people WFH. Either ending some of their multiple floor leases and opting for just one or two floors, or subletting them to other companies. Either way, I feel commercial property owners are going to be in for rude awakening

FCB. I’m also in the Hancock and think we’ll be closed for a while tbh

ACD2 I’m NYC. Midtown. No chance we will be heading back this year.

Yes ours will for sure.

They will if they want to keep people.

I hope for a one day a week option.

Yep

Yes. Not sure how they expect/ask people to return, stay 6 feet from each other, wear masks?, and take public transit when we could just be home safe.

Definitely

Hello everyone, I will be joining EY India by the end of this week in the PAS Workforce Advisory. The HR told me that it's going to be WFH for some time and wasn't very clear on when the offices might resume. Can anyone please give me a pessimistic and optimistic estimation of when we might be required to move back to office? I need to move to a different city, so it would be really helpful if you guys could support me with this input. Thanks

My professional life at the moment is far from ideal. I’ve been on quarantine (long story, but a good one) for the last seven years. Royalties from my books don’t pay the bills. My entrepreneurial pursuits remain hampered. For the interim, I’ve been looking for a remote opportunity where I can leverage my skills in marketing, sales, social media, and elsewhere for a decent sum. I have a social media presence which, in recent years, reached millions. There has to be something exciting I can do.

Moving office space to a primarily virtual-office membership which allows for more remote opportunities - any suggestions as to what to look for, be wary of, and perquisites we could ask for that aren't otherwise advertised? A friend told me they will often add additional conference room time at no extra cost - we are looking to minimize our spending as we rebuild and refocus perspective during the unending pandemic.

What cities in the US can someone get a lot of nature/green space but also some of the big city feel? My job just went fully remote and I’m debating on leaving my home town(Tampa). I’ve lived in Denver before. Loved it but felt it was lacking diversity and some city aspects. Any recommendations for a straight single 28M?

Was talking to the husband about what to do when kid 2 comes, if I'd want to go part time/flexible and keep them both at home while we wait for the pandemic to calm down (kid 1 is currently in daycare). He said he would look into it as well so we could split the time, no reason for one person to take full responsibility. I almost cried lol Ladies!! Talk to your husbands/SOs! Maybe not all will offer that solution on their own but see if they are receptive to the idea if you're struggling.

Help me out, everyone seems to be having much milder symptoms with Omicron. Is the hospital capacity issue due to people panicking and going to the hospital despite having mild symptoms or because staff are out with illness?
