Do you think all these violent and hate filled attacks are because people aren't getting the emotional/mental support they need, whether it's therapy at any age or help they needed but didn't get from a social worker as a child? My coworker is sure this is the case, but I honestly think there's actually something deeper wrong either with how these people are being raised as children, or how the warning signs these people give off are ignored or swept under the rug to save face.

I don’t know that all of this is related to mental health and mental illness. I think that people point to mental illness as a cause because they do not want to believe someone who is not mentally ill could do something so awful that seems so senseless.

Mentally ill people do not, most often, go into a nightclub and shoot people. That comes from hate. I don’t know enough about what drives these shootings or violent acts of hate when someone goes into a school and shoots children or a movie theater to shoot people watching Batman, but I know that the shooting this past weekend was a result of hate and the increasingly aggressive and hateful rhetoric people have been using when discussing the LGBTQIA+ community. The past year has brought so many political attempts to prevent education around the LGBTQIA+ community and healthcare for trans individuals, and this is almost certainly a result of that. I don’t think the shooter needed therapy. I think they, along with most people who perpetuate violence toward this community through actions or policies, need education and someway to understand that the LGBTQIA+ community has always existed, and that they are human beings that deserve to be cared for and included in media, education, and the world in general.

I think there are warning signs- we know that from the Oxford shooting, among others. But I do not think that people are committing acts of violence because they are mentally ill.

I think it could be a combination of poor mental wellbeing and a nurturing of hatred in childhood. However, these acts are almost always actions of hate and prejudice, which isn't a matter of clouded judgment. So yes, you could say its a deeper problem on how they were brought up, because yes, hate and intolerance is taught. We need more education about LGBTQ+ people, identities, experiences, etc. in schools and better representation in media. As a side note, people need easier access to emotional/mental support, but I don't think hate crimes are a result of poor mental health in most cases.

Could be some of both, but I think that the warning signs is the biggest one. Almost all of the people involved in these shootings either had documented mental/emotional trouble in the past, or they were earlier in trouble for some type of violence, usually towards women. And the worst thing for me is it seems like no one is willing or wanting for things to change (those in power I mean, obviously there are a lot of regular people who want this).

I think there are many layers involved in this. I think that they have some emotional/mental issues as a child and whether they got the help or not are still there. I believe that there are and have been warning signs for almost all of these attacks posted usually on social media. I also believe though that part of it could be the social media/news making such a big deal and highlighting and putting it out there so it gets a lot of attention, therefore, we have a lot of copycat incidents occurring.

I'm leaning more towards your side on this. I think it has to do with the information that people who have influence over them fed to them as kids. They were raised to think that way and it gets harder to change their mind the older they get.

Well there are some truths to your coworkers theory. But I think the biggest contributor is the way these attackers are brought up. We need to note that the common denominator for these attackers are their upbringing, a rough childhood if you must. They usually grow up with abusive parents, parents with alcohol and substance abuse, and every bad experience kids shouldn't have to go through. This is where you coworkers theory comes in, if these children have only had proper help growing, behaviors could have been remidied early on. But it won't be the case for children whose parents are like those I mentioned earlier.

I think you make a really great point. I think the people doing the attacking likely have mental health problems and trauma in their past that they never really dealt with. Sometimes there really are no warning signs though.

I do agree that it could be both or a multitude of factors that lead people to be unstable emotionally and mentally. It takes a lot in order to raise a child with a good well-being or to raise them in a healthy home. On the flipside, it is so easy to do wrong by them. I hope in the future I can raise healthy children who are both emotionally and mentally strong. I can only do so much.

One thing we do not struggle with- building connections and showing out love for each child.

I have heard from friends working in different companies about Synechron. Employees working hours are very closely monitored at Synechron.

Employees have to spend 9 hours inside Office rather than Synechron premise.

Also, employees have some app installed in their virtual machines which tracks the duration for which they were logged in.

Is this true?Wanted to confirm from someone who are working with Synechron.
