Unrelenting work that gives you mental stress is in fact why sick leaves exist. Don't treat sick leaves as just for physical illnesses. Mental health breaks are just as applicable for sick leaves.
Yes, I second your opinion. Mental health is equally important as your physical health. Infact, I do even take sick when I feel like Im in need of break from the routine. That's not at all wrong, at the end of the day you are working for your own wellness, to make oneself happy :)
No, I think it's completely justified. It sounds like this work is affecting your mental health like everyone else said. That's just as important to maintain as your physical health. Sometimes taking a day for yourself to regroup is necessary and I don't think there's anything wrong with it.
Not at all! Mental health days are essential, and companies offer them because they know full well what a job can do to a person's morale and productivity
I just take vacation/personal leave. Why do you even need a sick leave for that? It's completely okay to take such leaves once in a while.
ITC I was talking about just taking a break casually in between when you're tired of work, not necessarily unwell mentally or physically
Its ok to take a break every once in a while. Just tell your manager that you've been working too hard and with peak coming, its better that you take a couple of days break. I'm sure they'll understand. :)
