Honestly scores in the US are notoriously inflated. If you went to oxford and did a STEM degree, have a very respectable GMAT, and are currently working at an MBB, you’re pretty set :)
BCG1, can you share more on the inflation piece? I went to Penn and my STEM courses were all curved to a B- / C+ median, so I don’t believe there was rampant inflation per se. Of course, just one school as an example, but still ... how are you defining inflation / what’s your data set or benchmarks?
Just to clarify - did you get a third class honours? What was your final degree classification? I think if you started off rocky but managed to improve you should be okay. Depends on the MBA programme too of course.
I averaged a 2.1 overall (because we are 100% weighted in the final year), but with definite dips along the way (2.2’s, not 3rds - but 2.2s are regarded really poorly in the UK) It’s also not explained clearly on the transcript itself that I got a 2.1 overall because it just shows each year individually. There’s an upward trajectory though :)

By low 3s I was trying to convert to a GPA, I think I went from around a 2.8 to a 3.5 from first to final year, but the average is still low 3s
What is your UK final score?
If it's 2.1 = 3.5 GPA FYI

Ok great, thank you!
