Do you think it would be unprofessional for me to get a buzz cut out of the blue as a 3rd year lawyer? Got a full head of hair and just want to try a buzz, not going bald or anything. But a little worried about looking immature or unprofessional to the fratty partners and clients I work for after having medium/long-ish hair for a guy during my first 3 years of practice. Third year corporate boutique in a midsized city. Is this normal? I feel like I’m a clerk. All I do is draft ancillary documents for transactions (not the items of substance), incorporations, update minute books, filing amending/dissolution documents, resolutions, prepare annual meeting documents, do searches, etc. Starting to worry about how badly im falling behind.

I particularly don't want to work in this last week of the year because I want the billable hours to count towards 2022.

Is it really that common to be expected to do some work on christmas eve and christmas day? I’m at small firm going through a partner divorce. Two partners want to keep me and be a big part of things moving forward. Training new associates, etc. One partner will likely retire in 5-10 years. I’m a 5th year making $135k, but could probably negotiate a raise to around $150k. Another firm is willing take me on immediately making north of $200k for the same hours, but could only make partner if I generate new business. Any thoughts on what I should do? Things to consider?
