Does Omnicom have a hiring freeze? Is the below scenario typical of OMG or is this a red flag?

After interviewing at an OMG agency, I received verbal confirmation immediately afterwards that they’d like to move forward with an offer, but need finance approvals. This was 2 weeks ago though, and still no official offer.

That said, the recruiter has been responsive towards me, and hasn’t ghosted me but wondering what the reason could be for the delay.

I’m noticing a pattern of doing multiple interviews and being told that I would be moving on to final round, then following up and being told they are no longer interested. Anyone else? Ugh.

I feel the need to share with people an awful interview experience I recently had. After 3 months of interviewing with a top 3 tech company, and being given a verbal offer, I was told that the company didn’t know if or when they could extend a written offer due to the economy and organizational changes in 2H. This was extremely dissapointing as I invested so much time and energy into a process that was very promising on the surface. I really hope others interviewing can avoid this situation.

Since then, radio silence. Tomorrow is a week since the interview. What’s my move?

Tips for ramping up technicals as an associate for lateraling? My skills are fine for new analyst interviews but I have very limited live deal experience and so I don't think my corporate finance exposure has improved much here.

Recently I have been interviewed at Amazon after 3 rounds completion waiting for a week today I have been told unfortunately rejected. When I have asked for the reason HR said Data Inputs - at Amazon we value data inputs, all 3 interview rounds were on behavioural and LP, whereever it was necessary I have given data inputs and as per me all 3 rounds went really well. Still not understood what went wrong here? Any insights if any

Hey everyone! I know that it doesn't really matter what programming language you learn because in the end learning the concept is important. But I can't help to notice that in a lot of job postings, mastering a specific language is a requirement.

From your experience, does it really matter when you can learn on the go? Have you been rejected because you didn't know the language that is used by the company? If you're accepted regardless, what did you do/say to be convincing in the interview?

The Home Office releases on the new PBS immigration policy in the UK mention removal of cooling off period for shifting from Tier 2 ICT to Tier 2 General visa. Does anyone know if this is only for new Tier 2 ICT visa folks or would this applying to existing Tier 2 visa holders too?

Lost a high performing SM to an industry job earlier this month. They were on track to becoming a Partner in 2022 but still decided to take an industry job which pays $400K. I tried to explain that they would make $600K as a first year partner and the income can go up to $1M in next 5-6 years. They still refused to stay in consulting because they think that becoming a Partner is just the beginning of the rat race and did not want to deal with sales/revenue targets for the next 20 years 😔😔

How to deal with senior associates who micro manage every communication to partners/clients, therefore diminishing the opportunity for an experienced associate to grow by directly communicating with partners/clients? I get it that some matters are best handled by seniors, but cmon, I mean, are these control freak seniors worried the experienced associate may screw up every little task?

Does anyone prep taxes for family and friends on the side? I am trying to find a tax software for unlimited files and having trouble picking. I could obviously do it by hand but no one will want to wait for a paper mailed tax return to be processed.

I don’t want my CPA. But I’m really good at my job for my level. Question: Any suggestions for another passive income stream outside of investing in stocks which is not super time consuming?

I have a senior that I feel like I am begging to communicate with me - I’ve had 3 separate conversations in the last week asking them to let me know when things are ready and to include me on certain emails. There have been opportunities between the conversations for them to apply what we’ve discussed and they simply do not. They do a nice job with the client, but I’m pretty frustrated they are not being communicative with me. How do I get them to be responsive and not always be chasing them
