Do you think it’s better to go to immediately go a firm that’s beyond your skillset or work your way up to that firm? For example, going to a T2 firm as an experienced hire having never done consulting without or starting at a smaller consulting firm and then going to T2/MBB?

I went straight to a T2 as an experienced hire. I had impostor syndrome for a while, but received highest rating two years in a row (which helped cure the impostor syndrome).

Would you really go for a small firm if you had an offer from T2/MBB? So not sure why you would ask this, if you are good at consulting you will shine in all firms large or small.

I would say try not to start at a small firm. Not that there is anything wrong with working for “Phoenix Consulting” (I made that up) or they don’t have good people but it will be a f****** stretch to go to a MBB firm. It could be also tough to go to a T2 firm but you can if your game is strong or you have a particular in demand skill set.

2 years at MBB + M7 MBA, currently in Chicago. Looking to move to a lower cost of living geography. Heavily considering exiting into Tech in the Research Triangle Park Area (think Raleigh, Cary, Durham, Morrisville) . Targeting these firms for BizOps/ Sales Strategy roles: Cisco, Lenovo, IBM, Salesforce, Amazon, Microsoft. Non-negotiable is a focus on cloud technologies - either as a provider or an adopter. Any heavyweights I am missing? (Purposely left GCP out). Appreciate the stress test!

As head of a division in industry, we work a lot with vendors. Increasingly I am noticing that men working at vendor firms have offer resistance when I ask for more details/invoice timings etc. I recently had a partner from a mid size firm telling me that he will be sending the invoice without phase completion. Ofcourse, I pushed back since the work is not done and it's not per contract, and he comes back asking me to be flexible. I am ex MBB, and am quite surprised at this attitude. Cont...

We are closer to the end of this initial selling than the beginning. All this technical selling on a 15 minute chart simply brings us back to a 4 Hour Halfway Back long of May 20 to Highs. And, we find support right in the middle of this HWB long. I think we can go a little lower to break the long in a dip below the 61.8% red line. Alternatively, we can hold here and rally. Either way, tomorrow or next week, we are due to rally 300 Nasdaq points. Take profits and be smart.
