Just had a surgery to remove a lesion that had 40% chance of becoming cancer. I had a group text to keep family & friends informed. Nobody from family actually called to check on me. Five friends called to see how I was doing and feeling. Parents are deceased, I’m the youngest sibling (+5 to 8 years older) and the only one anybody keeps in contact with. Time to cut family? They obviously don’t care what’s going on in my life. One sibling never even responded.

I love working at the bookstore and I'm proud to work with such a large group of people from different backgrounds. I'm really happy we're all here.
