Pet names = terms of endearment, intimacy and affection. Just don’t call me babe.

I loved being called "Poopsie" (derived from the Russian "pupsik" meaning baby or darling and ponounced "poop-sick")
When I was younger, one of my lovers would call me bunny because I used to always want to... (you know). It was cute, but didn't feel sexy. I used to call one of my girlfriends CASHEW because she was thin and had bad posture. At first she hated it, but soon began to love it and call herself that. I have a girlfriend who does not even go by her own name. She calls herself "kitten" because she acts very much like a kitten in many ways.
I look at it this way. Pet names can go both ways. Sometimes, they can be like bad nicknames. Other times, they could empowering. There was a time my girlfriend used to call me Sweetdick J. I thought it was tacky and awkward but she honestly loved that part of my body. I couldn't argue with that.
Have fun! Use pet names! You should feel fortunate that you are close enough and honest enough to use pet names with each other. Some people do not even have that connection.
When my wife and I were dating, I jokingly called her love muffin, and it was a cute joke for a while. A few years later, I was like, "what is your pet name again, sex biscuit?" 🤣
No, my little cumrag. 🥰
