Do you think strikes/walkouts are effective?

I don't think so. All they do is spread mistrust on all sides. My idea is that you put the two sides in a room and lock the door until there is an agreement. No bathroom breaks. It would not take long. People would get hungry and jumpy. With the mistrust between teachers, paras, and parents within a strike, a little discomfort is proper in my book. Keep working, get out on time and let the teams negociate. Just make the room a little uncomfortable.

they seem to be working in other states

No we did it here in AZ a few years ago. We had to give back the days we walked out and caused school to close.

Our district took back raises we were promised. We got state raises and they shared it with admin who didn't even support us.

Good luck! Hope teachers get the desired outcomes. 🤞🏼🙏🏼

Hi everyone, got an offer with EY’s Business Consulting group earlier this week. Was wondering what the typically salary ban was for a Staff 2 in a major city? They offered $90K but was curious if this was on the lower or higher end? Going to see if I can get more but would appreciate any input. Thanks!

How would you leverage an existing rsu grant of a company that recently IPO-ed when negotiating a new grant in a new place (Series B tech firm).

Assume I have a grant worth of 300 that vests quarterly for the next 18months (in a current place that is already publicly traded)

Would kind of offer grant would you expect from high conviction Series B tech company if you wanted to switch? Would you be good with 1:1 match? would you be ok to get less because potential upside is higher?

Hi guys! I could use some help here, feeling a little discouraged. I started working for EY through a contractor and im hoping to move to EY to a different line that I could expand my current skillset. Although I don't hold a degree, I recently completed a certificate with Google in Project Management. I was hoping to move to something in Communications, EA or even Advisory but I haven't had any luck. and advice? Also looking into the EY Employee Referral scheme? or would that even be worth it?
