I think it makes the business case much clearer for firms selling the future of work, such as Deloitte Human Capital. People have been thinking about companies tapping into freelance gig economy, telework, etc for a while, so the pandemic forcing companies to accommodate such alternative work structures is going to make the whole future of work thing click.

I think it’ll definitely expedite the move to in-house teams. There will be a ton of talent available due to layoffs and companies will be looking to cut costs wherever possible... it’ll probably be cheaper to hire the unemployed agency people than keep their agencies
That’s a great point...I didn’t consider that they’ll likely poach the unemployed talent
Travel/meetings, etc. will be more restricted for a long time, and that will make it more challenging for outside agencies in terms being the know, getting access to secure internal client networks, etc. Net, an outside agency will have to hustle harder than ever to compensate. The future will be even more challenging for agencies, I’m afraid.
