Absolutely not. Any role that requires direct contact with a client will remain in the USA for eternity. Clients don’t want to deal with people working in India for all the same reasons that everyone I have talked to at EY avoids calling the IT help line at all costs.

Huge issue. Because the repetitive work getting replaced is also the work that establishes a foundation to learn and grow. Creates succession issues which are already ignored too much

Nope, just shifting focus from mindless repetitive tasks to tasks that require analytical and strategic thinking skills
Hiring for associates will start to slow as you see the traditional pyramid change to a diamond structure ... with AI and contract employees filling those two bottom portions of the pyramid that went away / changed.
Have you seen the billing rates for offshore poles hahah it’s so cheap! Also AI and RPA will take over prob the last few years of a lot of associate hiring
There needs to be bodies to buy partner shares. There needs to be bodies to actually bid a job and have a client relationship. Less yes, no assocs, no.

Agree tax manager 1! How do you learn without doing yourself? Reviewing someone else's work when you have no clue how it's created is not easy.
That's whats going on in our group too. Associates are up for promotion but barely any of them are ready for senior.
