Do you think the military life harder for people with ADHD or does the highly structured environment help with the symptoms?

I think it probably depends on the individual.

^ I agree. The structure helped me, but I think it definitely varies based on the individual.

It's kind of strange for me because I wasn't diagnosed until I was an older teen; so I wish I could say for certain, but I think the structure helped me come to terms with the limitations I have.

I have spent a fair amount of time wondering this very same thing, I wanted to enlist but wasn't sure I could handle it. I won't lie, it was a big adjustment, but it wasn't impossible. It would have actually been a lot harder if it weren't for boot camp breaking me out of my routines, because that made it possible for me to build new habits.

I think it made the transition a lot harder for me TBH. It seemed like the other guys were able to hit the ground running a lot quicker than I did, but the plus side is that there are a lot of new experiences and that's something I need in order to stay engaged. It definitely made it harder to sleep though. Which is kind of a problem for me anyway.

My brother in law tested positive for Covid on Friday. He started showing symptoms on Tuesday (Body ache, headache, fever, runny nose). He started feeling better today so he went to work. I'm furious. I told my sister that he should be self isolating for at least 10 days before returning to work, but she said his boss said he has to go back to work. His boss said not to tell anyone that he texted positive and that he needs to return to work. He works at a liquor store where he is in constant..

Are there any safe face masks to use? I know certain acids and chemicals aren’t safe. I normally use the gel masks (neutrogena) or similar kinds, but wasn’t sure what specifically to avoid. These specially state hyalluronic acid. My face is dry as sh*t, and not being able to do Botox/ face peels is killing me lol. Hi all. Long story short I have a big tech company on my resume and I took 2 years off work because of severe mental health issues. I did do some work during these years (short stints) but am listing this gap as having opened up my own freelance business. Im healthy to work fully now but I don't mention my mental health issues because it was a very difficult time in my life and want to stay private about it. Will this come back to bite me in the BG check?

Need some moral support. Blood pregnancy test is Monday. Frustrated that my husband is not as anxious as me, especially since he’s the one that wanted me to go through this in order to have his dna run through our child’s veins (im perfectly fine with adoption). 28 follicles, 19 mature eggs, 16 fertilized, 10 made it to day 5, 5 were euploid and 4 of those carry the kidney disease trait he has in his family. It’s been a long mental and physical journey. I need to stay busy this weekend.

Had my baseline blood draw yesterday for my first IVF cycle. My doctor said we had about a 1-4 day window to start stims. Is there anything I should be doing/taking to lower it before stims?

Hi ladies! We started this bowl because a few of us recently took new positions in the midst of COVID and are struggling with WFH. Here’s my story, please share yours! Just moved to a new country and joined a big local firm as a junior. I am a chronic procrastinator and I think it’s because I have low self-confidence, esp. with my writing style. Accountability is key to my productivity, and unless I’m micromanaged, I struggle to self-discipline. Will be sharing resources and tips in next post!
