Hi my IBM sharks..
So I joined IBM five months back and just a week back I got a project.
Since my shift is 11:30 am - 8:30 pm, I started clocking in my hours in Workday from previous Monday for shift allowance and its pending for approval with my people manager.
Guys, should we contact our manager by the end of every week or by the month end to get the entered time approved on Workday?
Secondly, does the people manager approve it or the project manager?
Any inputs are appreciated :)

Firms that aren't sweatshops for Cap Markets?

Yes
Not necessarily. They could be collaborating with partners on pitches or trusted to write the article.

Absolutely
Not necessarily, from personal experience

Agreed. Have a rainmaker who personally writes 80% of our bigger client alerts and another equity partner who might correct a commata in one once in a blue moon.
Not really. At least at my firm an overworked associate is stuck actually writing it. The partner just gets to put their name on it and take credit

No. The work usually goes to an associate who is plugged in that relevant topic of discussion and trusted with their expertise/writing. But that associate is usually overworked because they are plugged in many other things and trusted by others too.

Partners aren’t writing the alerts themselves so not necessarily.
