Yes, though the impact hasn’t been that devastating yet. Wouldn’t be surprised if things got significantly worse. It’s a necessary evil for the longevity of the economy

Why I think a recession will be a good thing. Spending has to be reigned back. And we need to kill social security, otherwise this kind of cycle where inflation runs rampant due to too many safeguards will never end
Nope. Not until 2024 or after
For you to be right, the next quarter would have to be positive GDP, and it won’t be. The definition of a recession is 2 consecutive negative GPD quarters, and we already had one.
The current probability of the US having a recession in the next 12 months is calculated to be a 30% probability, in other words “it’s definitely coming”
The inaction of the administration to address inflation shortages of energy and all the other indicators prior to the Russian invasion has pushed the inflation. The rising of rates by the fed to slow spending is way too late as supply shortages and credit card spending has triggered too many factors to save the rising economy. The summer months with be the gage of the future months
So many negative thoughts, the US economy is good, a real recession is not happening. If you are saying all these negative things to your clients, I feel sorry for them
The sky is falling the sky is falling doesn’t pay the bills Ed Jones. Sure you can point out the silver linings and opportunities, but it doesn’t mean that there isn’t harder times ahead to help Jack and Jane Navigate through the storm. But all Jack and Jane has to do is look at their bottom line decreasing monthly. Go buy some multi family properties, invest in self storage and seniors housing.
Coming out
We are currently in a recession at this point. But the worst has yet to come so far. I know down the road we will come out of it for sure.
Next year
Yes and it’s normal.
Yes
Most definitely
Absolutely. The economy is tanking, inflation out of control and leadership in Washington M.I.A. The job market is a lie and many have taken the bait. Hook, line and Sinker
Yes.
Global recession or recession in US?
Yes!! The stock market is very bearish right now!!
And there is no sign of reversal any time soon. We hit a 20% decrease in the s&p. We are in recession territory
I still find it incredible we’re discussing the recession topic just as we were discussing the “transient” inflation a year ago. Prep your portfolios well…
Looking at the bigger picture here our business cycle was interrupted by a massive event. Hence all leading indicators are wonky. So are we heading into recession? probably a recession will reset the economy into the regular business cycle pattern but I could see more on the lines of particular industries going into recession but not the entire economy in one fell swoop going into a recession so more like a localized events. For example the Chinese lockdown damage in the supply chain could impact certain industries within the United States however the energy patch and restrictions of energy we could see an over performance in that area of the economy.
Yes, inflation has drastically increased, and so has rental/mortgage amounts compared to income. I have friends who I make roughly the same and they're living above their means. If federal student loans start up again then they won't be saving anything.
Once the 'gunpowder' from covid leaves majority of bank accounts people will stop spending. The good part about this is the people who are well positioned will make a ton of money
yes
Yes. We are in the beginning stages, but definitely not gonna be a fun time.
Recession is already here. Stagflation conditions in the near term.
