No. No, I don't.

No, I'm very nervous about the return to school. I'm worried about enforcing all of these new policies and having backup from administration.

As a trans I struggled during this time of the year. My obligation to discuss how hedonist this whole Valentine’s Day is and how it celebrates disproportionately cisgender relationships without ANY regard of that impact on the non cis or transitioning or RE transitioning people. It’s important the feelings of those who are not sure of their gender status into consideration when planning group activity. Especially for students who have not decided to reveal..

I have taught at 5 different schools yet only Henrico Co PS place a moderate value on Behavior intervention as a means of response to disruptive behavior, creating rapport , restorative circles and trauma informed care. Anyone found a way that works to teach mid to high level students (courses) effectively besides a flipped model? Recording lessons without an audience is going to be the death of me, and live zoom session direct instruction isn't working. During those, I've been trying to recreate the classroom experience; at the board and all that. I need the interaction to be good.

Life after the classroom... Knowing that I want to retire and focus more on dyslexia, I am interested in your thoughts about creating a 501c3 and/or LLC to support reading for students and adults with dyslexia, parent advocacy, and understanding how to navigate best practices instead of de minimus that is offered by most districts, and legislative actions. Can anyone offer any advice? I'm OG trained with 4 teaching credentials, 3 MAs, and an EdD in Higher Education. We do make a difference!

This may be a hot take - but as a younger person, working with parents of small kids (especially new parents) is so frustrating. I frequently find myself responsible for picking up the slack due to their family commitments - it’s also somehow completely socially acceptable for kids to barge into zoom meetings screaming. I wouldn’t find it nearly as bothersome if I felt like leadership and parent colleagues took my issues and non work commitments seriously in addition to that of parents and kids

This is going to sound crazy - has anyone ever encounter another person showing up for the job on day one? 😕 I really don’t think this is the guy we interviewed on Zoom (for an IT position). I’ve kept it to myself so far. We are now on day three. Don’t know what I should do.
