Do you use client names in front of family and friends? What about confidentiality clauses?

I try my best not to.

How do you avoid it?

I just say a big tech comapny or a local xyz company.

I do to near and dear ones, and tell them not to tell anyone haha

I try not to talk about work at all when I'm with friends and family, to be honest. But when it does come up, I never use specifics.

Nooo. I act like it's some big important secret even if the client just wants a nicer-looking food delivery app.

Lol! Hahahahaha!

So I am in a unique situation from a supply chain standpoint. Client has a Make to Order product, with a backlog up to next year so in theory life should be easy. Except the current Supply Chain environment means the amount of past dues are racking up and the production schedule keeps falling wildly behind and catching up because impossible because the schedule is packed at capacity. I have some ideas to help them, but I would love to find some good reading on MTO best practices and scheduling.

Has anyone ever had this happen to them. I am a senior design freelancer working on a fairly large project, lots of requested variations over the last 2 weeks. The lead acct person keeps mentioning “we’re burning too hot!!” Yet keeps asking for more changes and variations… What gives? Seems like a recipe to move the project to a FT team member to me. Lol

If a recruiter asks me if I’ve spoken to another recruiter at the company, is it okay if I lie and say no? Or should I just be honest and say yes? I’ve heard of instances where candidates have been ghosted if they say they’ve been in contact with another recruiter. In my case, the recruiter I was in contact with messaged me on LinkedIn and never followed up after our 5 minute phone conversation. I really want this job so I don’t want to mess anything up before getting an interview.
