Swimming in chemicals from the factory. Absolutely should wash them.

Definitely
Never. And I’m still alive. Also, I get the best fit right off the rack. After the first wash, it’s never the same shirt again.
Yes - I wash all my clothes I buy before wearing them
Read Grant v Australian Knitting Mills and always wash your underwear before wearing
Always. I wash everything before I wear it. Chemicals, bugs, critters from the factories - I don’t want that on my body.
Yes 100%. Not even thinking about the chemicals, consider that other people may have tried them on before you or someone may have purchased and returned (although i believe most stores throw them away in that case). To put it nicely, you don’t know how hygienic the people who tried them on were or what they did with them. 🙃
People can wear / try on underwear then return it. Wash first always.
Im being eco-friendly and saving water by not washing them

Two wears per wash. Inside out. And regular.
I do it for the environment
There is a huge divide in my household on this very topic. I’ll wear them right outta the bag, but the wife will freak out if she catches me. She is phobic about it and washes everything.

As others have said, I wash everything before I wear. Partially because of the chemicals but I also buy clothes that will fit after being shrunken in the dryer so I wash and dry before wearing so it fits properly. Fresh from the store and it would be too big.

I get takes rashes if I don't wash clothes first. So underwear always gets washed. (That's a bad area to get a rash)
