Since most of my friends are also clients....I would never disclose income figures to them.
It’s unprofessional and frankly none of their business anyway
If they are a client of mine I would feel comfortable sharing my personal finances with them. Only fair if they are sharing everything about them with me, builds trust in my opinion
Nope... but if they did I absolutely wouldn't say
It does build trust until you tell them you make 7 figures.. not sure how trusting they become after that
I'm assuming that's net, if so, any tips on career or business strategy changes you did that got you to thst point? What was realistically the turning point? I've been at a wire since out of college, 9yrs and broke 200k net. Any advice or offline would be appreciated.
None of my friends ever ask that. Doesn’t even come up in conversation.
All the time. It’s a common question because people want to know how much someone that manages money makes
Not a thing
My friends aren’t the type of douches that would ask such a question. But if a client asked, I’d tell them. If anyone else asked, I’d ask them if their Google was broken, you can figure it out without making yourself a social pariah.
I told one friend who asked. I felt it was ok to be honest bc she is multimillionaire and I am just starting out in my career. We clearly aren't on the same income level and I don't feel like I need to pretend that we are.
But I would not tell any other friend because certain friends think I make a lot more than I do and I would be embarrassed for them to find out what I really make. Then I have other friends who are making only 30 or 40,000 a year and I was feel on comfortable telling them what I am making
