Head of Production here with offices in Sacramento and San Diego, we pay $90K + for that level of producer. You need to ask for more... way more...
No. Should be around 75k
You could produce coffee at Starbucks for that amount.
Mentor
Hell no! Senior anywhere should be at least 90k. In Chicago, I was up to 135k, but I was at that agency for 16 years.
Seems low
Sounds right. See NerdWallet, when you convert cost of living to NYC it’s about 124K which is a very healthy salary at that level. https://www.nerdwallet.com/cost-of-living-calculator/compare/new-york-manhattan-ny-vs-dallas-tx
Sounds low but also depends on how many years, Sr Producer is a massive range. Use your old salary as a guide to see if they can increase the comp.
The average salary for a garbage collector in New York is $59,440 per year. That’s a depressing number you put up
I don’t know Dallas at all, but in other major markets, I’d want to be double that $ for Sr level.
Loooow
RUN!
Glassdoor says $72K average. Going up to $104K in Dallas.
Senior, associate, even exec all mean different things depending on the location, type of agency, context etc. $54k for senior anything is low, but maybe it’s not really a senior position. See what more you can learn about it. Some people care more about the title to use as a stepping stone to the next thing than the money.
