Does a 90k for a S1 position in Big4 in high COL, metro area, looks underpaid ?

Has anyone seen someone in big4 M&A tax switch to a generalist consulting role at T2/MBB? Not expecting tenure to transfer. People at the ~consultant level have said it’s basically an impossible switch, so I’m looking to see if PPMDs share that sentiment.

How do you deal with counter offers? I have an offer to join a larger tech company in a more senior role, with bonus and RSUs that my current start up can’t match. But my current company want me to stay. They offered an increased base salary which is still below the new offer and I went back and said no, so they might increase. I received an offer from a firm that has been persistently seeking me, although I wasn’t looking. Work arrangement, benes, & title are similar to my current position, but they are offering $16k more than my current salary. I did just negotiate my raise in July, from 11% to 20%. I am very content with my current employer, but hubby thinks I need to bring this to HR. I don’t want to rock the boat, and I figured I should wait until next year and factor that into my annual raise. Thoughts?
