The issue is not tech or services. It is the right niche at the right time that is going to be appreciated in the market. We started with seed money of about $22M and burnt it out in two years. Out issue was that we believed in our ideas more than the market. Keep your eyes wide open. Do not get YES men around you. And remember that there are extremely few doors that open when you do not have the Big Name to throw around.
Wow OP. Plan for it and then pull the trigger. Launching your own shit is the greatest thing you have in USA. Proud of you. 😊 btw I think you should stay away from being implementer unless you are into it. It's a pain in ass service.
Depends on the type of services you plan to focus on
Have a business plan and partners, just looking for any constructive advice. Cheers.
You prob need to have an expert in digital so you can be credible in the "future of business", but prob not the traditional IT type expert
Tech partner meaning relationship with a tech platform or implementor. No desire to develop those assets.
Depends what niche the startup is going to operate in. I don't know that a straight up strategy play works in most markets though. Like SC1 mentions though, you probably don't need to have an old school ERP type expert. I'd think probably someone with tech strat, digital and it risk experience would be helpful...
OP, go for it! the nice thing about our industry is that you could always come to Big 4 work if you want.
