Does an EECS degree help make the lateral jump to in house tech companies or do they not care? If so does grad level help? Even if you were in patent lit and not pros or EC VC?

It definitely helped me going in-house as a product counsel. I’m an EECS major with IP lit background.

Helps but grad doesn’t matter as much. Pros v lit will depend on the role but more opportunities for prosecution.

Depends on the role. For a product counsel at a hardware tech company, plus. For a commercial counsel, doesn't matter.

I am starting to question my existence in this world. I have a nice job, decent salary, i work out and eat healthy, maintain my health, read 3 to 4 books every month, dont have any personal commitments (single), in my early 30s and things cant be any better. Of course with the exception that i had a real bad break-up with my fiancé 6 months ago. And i dont have any symptoms of depression, but there are days when i just feel like what is all this for?
