Just finished my 3-day orientation for Wilson (for the 2nd time 🙄) and my district is finally paying for me to do the Level 1 certification this school year! I’m very excited but a little nervous about how I’m going to get a student 1:1 for at least 45 minutes? My caseload is already 22…
As a consultant who is not looking to go back to consulting (B,M,BCG) and making $106K now, is a MBA worth it or is it better to work my way up within my company to get the $$$$?
End goal: strategy at a large industry player (auto, apparel, etc) Is it more logical to use the mba to jump right into those companies or use the mba to get into Mbb/tier 2 and then jump?
Currently SC at 90K with shitty yearly increases, if I were to jump companies, would it still be possible to out-scale gettin an MBA, take in consideration opportunity cost of 200K + 2 years no salary
Is it impossible for me to get into a top MBA program considering I had a 2.9 undergraduate GPA? My major was business administration. Looking for constructive advice!
Darden vs Johnson vs Ross ( No dollars) Post MBA: Location No-Preference MBB Consulting/ Product Management @ FAANG Note: I'm an international on an H1B Visa TIA!
2 years at MBB + M7 MBA, currently in Chicago. Looking to move to a lower cost of living geography. Heavily considering exiting into Tech in the Research Triangle Park Area (think Raleigh, Cary, Durham, Morrisville) . Targeting these firms for BizOps/ Sales Strategy roles: Cisco, Lenovo, IBM, Salesforce, Amazon, Microsoft. Non-negotiable is a focus on cloud technologies - either as a provider or an adopter. Any heavyweights I am missing? (Purposely left GCP out). Appreciate the stress test!
Just got an offer to join an mbb from Deloitte. I have 3 years of exp and have been working on b school apps and was planning on going after 4 years. Is it worth it to go (it’s a BA role) or should I apply post mba and try as an associate?
Long term goal is to be a tech entrepreneur. I was all set and had my decision not to get an MBA, but then I checked LinkedIn. For almost every major tech company founded by a consulting alum, they all have MBAs. Am I missing something major here?
If I started my GC process this year when can I hope to start MBA with a green card? Not a citizen of one of the exception countries.
Looking to break into big tech (FAANG, etc.) from GPS consulting. Is there anything I can do while in GPS to make myself a good candidate or is the solution just go to commercial and/or get an MBA?
MBB experienced hire entry level or stay at current firm and make manager in 3 months? 2.5 YOE, currently at boutique life science strategy firm. Firm willing to sponsor for MBA as well
What’s the case for going to MBB for 2-3 years before trying to make a jump to FAANG vs going straight to FAANG post-MBA?
Would you have gone into consulting after your MBA if you already had pre-mba experience? Why or why not?
HELP NEEDED: Just got offer for Deloitte HC as SC. I'm from a target MBA with a little over a year in consulting. What's the comp of a second year SC? Want to benchmark offer

Thoughts on Costco sofa sets / sectionals? Not the most stylish, but looking for comfy and durable and strain resistant to survive baby and dog and extended family. Doesn't need to last forever, but 5 years of enjoyable comfy sitting, sleeping and reasonable use is all I expect. Had a trendy gorgeous velvet masterpiece before baby. I miss those days. 😔 Anyway, any advice, fabrics, or other things to consider?
I know that it likely “depends” and varies from firm to firm but does anyone have any insight on (or experience with) whether firms rely on “total billable hours” or “total billable hours credit” to determine whether hours have been met/bonus applies?
I have a controversial observation: Facebook seems to be using recruitment process managers to get diversity hires. I've looked at all the RPM hires over the past few years and every one of them seems to be a woman, most commonly a woman of color. I'm all for diversity, but this feels out of balance. Am I wrong?
I really need advice please. I’m a newly promoted S1 in Tax & I’m extremely conflicted. I really wouldn’t mind staying till manager. While I work extremely long hours, I find the work interesting & I enjoy working with my team. I don’t plan on having kids for a while so I really just want to do the best to put myself in a position where I will be the most successful in the long term. People who left at manager, do you think it helped or hindered you by staying that long?
How do you respond to pushy HR people/ recruiters who ask your salary req in the first 5 mins?
Is it socially / professionally OK to request to leave an engagement? If yes, how do you go about doing so or what reasons seem acceptable? I’ve started looking up other engagements and my reason is the clients attitude is a bit unbearable, creating a difficult working env. to thrive in and probably detrimental to my career and mental health. Do I sound like a complainer or is this OK to do? Keep in mind, the clients employer as well as EY is aware of clients attitude and had several HR conv. w/
Hi Guys - Is it good to look for a job change now? Currently at level 9 with CTC 15 and expecting promotion this year. How much hike can I expect?
Where’s the best place to get a HELOC? We bank with chase. Our lender said they don’t do HELOCs. He recommended a local credit union. Any other suggestions?
Has anyone taken one of those online executive courses, like the Harvard Extension School offers? Looking to use my $5k of tuition reimbursement and already have an MBA. Worth it? Best programs?
Best SPG anywhere warm in the continental US?
Why shouldn’t same standards apply if you threaten to resign - irrespective of your race or gender or the type of research you do. Pretty sure I’d get fired if I used “threaten to resign” as my mode to get something
When it comes to LinkedIn connections with clients, do you usually send them a request after a project or wait and see if they connect with you?
