I worked in HR for 11 years, with my most recent role being HR Manager for a small company (12-60 employees). I shifted careers to Personal Training in December 2020 due to instability at the small company and my passion for health and wellness.
Now I am now looking to get back into an HR role, preferably in a Benefits Analyst or a Generalist role. What advice do you have for approaching companies? Do they see things like certifications and SHRM membership as advantages?
Thank you in advance!
My ex reached out after 2 years and said he still has feelings for me. We dated for a few months and broke up because he moved (and wasn’t sure enough about us to want so LDR), then became friends and caught up every few months. He lost a beloved aunt this summer and said that made him re-evaluate his life. He said he would like to see where things go. He’s a wonderful person and I originally wanted to stay together when he moved but accepted his decision. Continued in commments
My joining in EY is in March. Recently I have been reading some extreme reviews about EY work culture including that it’s nearly impossible to get your leaves approved. Is it true? In my current company, taking my share of leaves has never been an issue as long as I inform in advance. How does it work in EY GDS teams?
Thanks in advance!!!

Any tips for being better at “informal mentee-ship ”? Im a new joiner who feels like remote means I’m not really learning nearly as much as I can from my team. That said, I can recognize the benefits of WFH and so want to learn to improve while not excluding the remote possibility.

Has anyone ever made the jump from consulting to being a full time creative?
Recently I've realized that consulting isn't what I wanna do, but more broadly idk if a 9-5 business job is for me either. I've always wanted to make films and write books but I rarely see anyone in our industry make this kind of jump. Also finances 🥴
Overall I'm just not sure if I can see myself doing this for the next 30 years
