It will be around 1 to 2 years. After that, I have the flexibility to come back to testing domain. I just wanted to know if the domain change for short term will have impact in my career or will it be beneficial and added advantage to my career?

My start date with EY is 1/17. Law firm initiated H1B transfer (PP) on 12/14 but as of now the petition hasn't been filed yet. Is it even realistic for the start date to be on the 17th at this point? Looking for some advice. I am currently going through a work based green card sponsorship. The company kicked off the process in January this year. EVL was submitted in June and still no response. I believe once the EVL is approved they will initiate the PERM process. Does anybody know how much more is left in the process until I get the green card? I believe from what I’ve heard I may have to wait for another 12-18 months. Can anyone confirm?

US immigration question. Green card interview date was cancelled in March 2020. It’s been a whole year of just waiting for a reschedule date, so the I-485 is transferable (e.g. to another state, another employer). Has anyone transferred their i-485 to another employer? What was that process like? Would my process start from the interview phase? How did you prove that the next job was in the same category?
