Does anybody find it strange when a lady twirls her hair when speaking with you? I'm a woman and my therapist does this during our sessions. I think she's good but the hair twirling throws me off.

Isn't that a longing for one's mother?

I can't stand it and I'm a woman. I've often thought about telling women at my office who do it because I think it makes them look less intelligent.

like

I just got extensions so I can do this very thing. I also do this while smacking my gum as I chew. I'm male.

I'm very fidgety and I tend to play with my hair a lot. I've been told in reviews it makes me seem young 🙄. I try really hard to not do it but if I have a lot on my mind or am really focused on something else I tend to forget.

like

I'm fidgety ....don't think it's weird

like

In poker we call this a tell. You can map it to a particular behavior pattern. Probably means she's thinking.

like

I think it's annoying

If that's the most annoying thing a person does then consider them amazing.

like

I always assumed that meant a woman liked you. Awkward if your therapist is the one doing it.

like

What if she is? PLOT TWIST

like

I don't find that too weird, but could see how it could be distracting. My therapist used to eat during our sessions and would often pour one water bottle into other ones as I was talking. Needless to say, she is no longer my therapist.

Ugh we've got a digital strategy lady who does it as s nervous tick, but only when she's royally fucking the work over.

An account person that used to work with me did that. I could never take her seriously.

^I know. Should I tell her to stop? It makes me feel like she's flirting with me which is very strange.

Any tips for transitioning into a new firm? I was with my previous firm for 5 years. Came to a new firm a couple weeks ago, and I’m taking over around 25-30 cases, all in different stages of litigation. Any tips for someone who went through this successfully? It’s tough, between 2 different managing partners who are different but my cases are pretty 50/50 between them. My previous firm I had far fewer cases.
