Does anybody get major anxiety before joining a meeting? Idk if it’s social anxiety or because I’m a month in at a new job and not fully ramped up but I’m at the point where I’m trying to dodge meetings if possible. I feel like a loser.

I’m the same way! Even if I don’t have to talk sometimes. I get really anxious right before and then after it’s like a huge relief. I don’t have any specific advice, but I’m right there with you.

Glad I’m not the only one :)

Yeah even if I’m not slated to speak, I get anxious about the possibility getting called on and providing the wrong response. Ans I’m constantly checking the time til the meeting is over and then there’s a beautiful rush of relief ...at least until the next meetings starts lol

Mamas, I am stressing a lot because next month, we won’t have health insurance anymore as I quit my job for a better opportunity. I don’t care much about us but more about my baby as she needs to go see the pediatrician for her vaccines. Is there a private insurance you can recommend? All the ones I saw are $400 a month with high deductible :( I also applied to Chip (apparently, we are eligible but I am afraid they don’t cover the practice we are using). I am really lost :(

What is the best response and how can we convince the HR for the question - If you are already holding one offer then why are you still looking for other offers and what is the assurance that after we rollout our offer letter, what are the chances and what is the assurance you won't be looking out for other better offers or opportunities.

Was turned down for an internal strategy/ops role I thought would be a good fit for my family. Director is unhappy with my work. I’m used to being the anchor, so it’s hard having nowhere to turn.

Feeling guilty and worrIed. I’m 37. My parents are in their mid-/ late-70s. (I’m the youngest of 3 with a major age gap between me and older siblings.)

My husband and I live on the West Coast while my family/parents are in my hometown halfway across the country. I feel like I have an obligation AND also a desire to move closer to my family, especially since I now see my parents as “older”
