I am terribly underpaid in my current org at 5.5 LPA after a recent promotion and annual appraisal. Another mid size consulting firm offered me 7.5 LPA but I am asking them around 9 LPA.
Am I asking too much or shall I take the offer of 7.5 LPA

Newb Question: Starting the search so going in blind. What roles do you apply for in an house position? I'm an M&A associate, but I look at these in house roles and have no idea what are the types I would be considered for: regulatory? product counsel? compliance? The only one for sure I know I'd get a look is securities counsel...what did others apply to? What doe these other roles do? And are the year ranges hard cut offs? Does 5 years mean 5 years or will the company consider 3-4?

How do you evaluate equity? Offered head of legal role. Matched my salary but bonus is entirely shares. Shares at current price less strike price are around 300k but of course in a start up there are no guarantees although I guess big law is salary for life. Idk why im so stressed / conflicted on this.

So, I mail her about this she told me start working on pre-joining formalities we will share new DOJ shortly. But it's been a two day's I haven't got any mail. So, How many day's it will take to revised offer with new DOJ ? Should I poke her every day ?

Are 4 days enough to do this trip Toronto - Montreal - Quebec City - Toronto. Husband and I are taking Thursday & Friday off + weekend. I’m a bit skeptical driving in unpredictable December weather. The ones who done this trip please suggest safety + entertainment + if it’s worth it in winter. Or should we just go local and do something like horseshoe resort and winter wonderland. We’ve already rented the car for those days, will have to drop it back Sunday 10 AM.

Litigation/Insurance Defense - how has the ability of attorneys meeting hours at your firm changed since COVID? Without driving to Court across the state we seem to have billable hour issues - but partners claim they have a lot of work sitting and not getting done and need more associates. I have an FP&A offer at a place I really want to work at and could see myself there for a long time. It’s senior level and pays pretty good. I’ve always thought about TAS and the firm said they will move me there if I stay. Should I stay with the firm and move into TAS? The salary is about the same to stay and I could make manager next summer. Completely torn.

I helped a friend perform valuation and modeling work on an equity raise with his current company and want to put it on my resume. I don’t really want to put the company name as i wasn’t an employee, but I did perform the whole three statement and DCF to value the company and be presented to investors, so I want to list it on my resume and speak to the experience during an interview. Senior Associate here: How do you treat deferred commissions for working capital? It is capitalized under 606. It shows as long term asset on BS and not included in reported WC calc, its amortized by management over 2/3 years. What about accrued commissions?
