Should I just quit the legal field?

I have been a paralegal or legal assistant since 2010. I have worked for small and large firms and a TPA. I've worked in L&E, PI, and ID. Billing hours gave me nightmares. Right now I'm in a hybrid paralegal/LA position where I'm responsible for all of the docketing and supporting the managing partner and 1 associate and their 90+ ID caseload. I make a lot of mistakes everywhere I work. I feel so incompetent. Should I just abandon this career path?

Hired on as a consultant despite exp, and spent last ~4 years in investigations/risk, first at fairly well-known mid-tier firm then a boutique. Twice promoted in that time, so now senior associate/director-level making ~150k TC. Others at my level are abt the same age, so I am almost ‘caught up’. I have an opportunity to take a Senior role at a firm just smaller than Big 4 from a regional firm. This will be my 3rd job change in 6 years. So changing firms roughly every 2 years. The thing is… I am consistently getting huge pay increases. First change I went up 17%, the second was 30% if you just look at base or 16% if you include annual bonus. I am yet again looking at a 12% increase. But fear staying a Senior forever if this keeps up, what are thoughts on job hopping like this?

For anyone who’s taken / passed the CFE, is it worth paying for the full exam prep course or would studying the fraud examiners manual suffice?
