Does anybody know if they still update the SEVIS (Not SEVP) portal if your H1B application is picked? I called my school and they said there were no updates to my status.

Looking for hope & exceptions with this situation my inlaw (German citizen) is in. They came over on Fulbright and now is on O1 but in exile back in Germany. I know it’s a long shot but has anyone been in this situation and transitioned to permanent US residency? They are married to a US citizen and have a kid (born in US). Immigration attorneys are not super helpful on precedent.

Are there any companies that would sponsor an EU visa for a US citizen or should I let that dream go?

Are there any consequences of accepting two offers from different countries and end up joining only either of them? Both the companies are sponsoring for my visa. Given the future uncertainty regarding inflation, I do not want to reject the offers in case the other recedes the offer or work visa gets rejected.

I have been offered a job at KPMG within cyber security in the uk. Originally it was a 25% hike offer. Now I have received a 8% hike at Deloitte as part of the current performance cycle along with a 5k bonus (great incentives every year) The only thing is KPMG is offering this in a @kpmg regional location where I’m based plus the disadvantage is I need to pay 2500£ for my dependent visa costs which I can save if I continued with Deloitte. Seen Lot of negative comments about KPMG. Any thoughts ?

Does Deloitte/ EY do country transfer from Canada to US? Any success stories? I’m currently interviewing at both for Tech Consulting SM position and hoping to get offer from at least one. I’m an Indian born Canadian citizen. So, my visa options are TN, H1 or L1.

Looking for advice about what types of creative (but still corporate) non-legal roles would be easiest to pivot into. I’m an entertainment/IP/privacy lawyer but have only been practicing for 1.5 years. I already know the law isn’t for me though and am trying to brainstorm what other career paths may be a good fit. I really like audit but I have only been with the firm for a little over a year and i’m burnt out and worse, starting to lose passion for it. I think the long hours are just not for me.
