Does anybody mind sharing salary progression at mbb without an MBA? Curious what one would be making 4 - 6 years out as a homegrown.

I assure you I'm not humble bragging but on the surface I have an awesome life. I'm 25 with High comp, attractive, good social life, fit, etc. and sometimes it feels like that and my self esteem and confidence are through the roof

I need help figuring out if I’m being underpaid. I’m working in real estate private equity and I focus on fund models and property valuations. I’m currently at base $80k and 20% bonus. On top of that I have 5 years experience and a masters in finance. I’m good at my job and receive positive reviews from everyone. Two days later I got an email saying Microsoft is freezing hiring for certain departments and the recruiter is ghosting me. Will I even get a chance to interview atleast?

2nd year associate here been with bcg for about 2 years (one promo under my belt), got an offer from a high growth tech startup thinking about exit right after bonus hits. salary about the same, job is interesting, better wlb, however (significantly) slower career trajectory. Tbh my experience at bcg has been mixed I learned a lot but not particularly enjoying the job (my feedbacks are on target, no issues there)
am I making a mistake here? is it worth waiting an other year before exit?

Any BCG fish have any insight into the Henderson Institute? Had a brief stint at a think tank and loved it. Trying to learn more about what opportunities may be out there and Henderson seems ideal

I didn’t realize that if someone is a consultant at McK or BCG, whether or not they’re actually doing strategy work is not clear. There’s groups of you guys? So different tracks and promotion and pay grades? Every Bain AC or C is the same — some fluidity in PEG vs GP, but overall same. BCG/McK has different tracks — are some of these tracks “better” or more elite? How can I tell who is actually doing strategy work vs staff augmentation or implementation?

Anyone had done an office transfer in Bain to a different country? What was the process like?
