I find that the reason I am able to strictly follow a diet during the week is because of how structured and consistently busy I am during the week. Try staying busy and productive over the weekend? Hope this helps somehow!
I have been taking it one meal a weekend. So this weekend I have to watch breakfast/brunch. Once that becomes a habit and i'm choosing better, next weekend i add lunch, next weekend i skip buying junk food when grocery shopping. It's tough!
I don't think there is a trick. Just need to stick to your commitment.
I try to keep healthier foods in the house or make sure I'm at least eating less if I get takeout. It's really easy to eat the full meal at restaurants and I'm working on either eating half or prioritizing protein or veggie focused dishes. And with drinking I make sure I drink enough water and have fewer drinks than I normally would, even if it's just 1 less
Have you tried averaging out your cals on a weekly basis? (Or whatever metrics you use?) that way tou could go higher in the weekends if you can stand to go a little lower during the week. You could also build in some of that weekend stuff into the week so you don’t feel deprived-like get takeout in Tuesday etc. Last - have a plan for the weekend so you’re not caught off guard hungry at the grocery store 😛

1)Hire a coach.
- Accountability is crucial here. A coach provides that in addition to all of the benefits of coaching
2) eat normally during the week
- the binge/restrict cycle isn’t working and is usually made worse by restriction during the week and thus the weekend binge is justified
Try mapping your healthy vs unhealthy meals in a cycle format, rather than daily.

What helps me is intermittent fasting and religiously tracking ALL intake on MyFitnessPal. I successfully lose ~2 lbs every week while still eating the foods I love in moderation!

Hey OP, when that happens I just track the closest description of the dish and manually add more calories for the add-ons like oil, butter, etc.
