Does anybody struggle with the weekend cycle when it comes to eating? For me, I eat perfectly during the week. Low calorie, lots of healthy food, no overeating, no takeout. But come Friday through Sunday, I eat out and ruin all the hard work I put in during the week. The result is that I lose a few pounds during the week and then gain them right back over the weekend, and the cycle just endlessly repeats. Anyone have any good tips for breaking this cycle?

I find that the reason I am able to strictly follow a diet during the week is because of how structured and consistently busy I am during the week. Try staying busy and productive over the weekend? Hope this helps somehow!

I have been taking it one meal a weekend. So this weekend I have to watch breakfast/brunch. Once that becomes a habit and i'm choosing better, next weekend i add lunch, next weekend i skip buying junk food when grocery shopping. It's tough!

I don't think there is a trick. Just need to stick to your commitment.

I try to keep healthier foods in the house or make sure I'm at least eating less if I get takeout. It's really easy to eat the full meal at restaurants and I'm working on either eating half or prioritizing protein or veggie focused dishes. And with drinking I make sure I drink enough water and have fewer drinks than I normally would, even if it's just 1 less

Have you tried averaging out your cals on a weekly basis? (Or whatever metrics you use?) that way tou could go higher in the weekends if you can stand to go a little lower during the week. You could also build in some of that weekend stuff into the week so you don’t feel deprived-like get takeout in Tuesday etc. Last - have a plan for the weekend so you’re not caught off guard hungry at the grocery store 😛

1)Hire a coach.
- Accountability is crucial here. A coach provides that in addition to all of the benefits of coaching
2) eat normally during the week
- the binge/restrict cycle isn’t working and is usually made worse by restriction during the week and thus the weekend binge is justified

What helps me is intermittent fasting and religiously tracking ALL intake on MyFitnessPal. I successfully lose ~2 lbs every week while still eating the foods I love in moderation!

Hey OP, when that happens I just track the closest description of the dish and manually add more calories for the add-ons like oil, butter, etc.

I had a surgery for ectopic pregnancy about two weeks ago and I’m still insanely tired. To add before the surgery, I was given one dose of methotrexate and my hemoglobin tanked from 13.8 to 10.8 between the first blood test ( May 1st week) and the last ( June 1st week). I think my tiredness is cause by a mix of low hemoglobin, methotrexate, and surgery. Any advice on how to get my energy back would be appreciated.

What’s the best low calorie, high protein snack?

Background- In quarantine I’ve been intermittent fasting &calorie counting for a few months, and still working out in the mornings. First time growing out hair and it's coarse/wavy/dry so it takes days for oils to distribute (so oily scalp) due to pushing off washing -- when I do wash, I shampoo only the scalp and will conditioner the rest of my hair. Has anyone experienced extreme bloating? Sometimes when I drink my protein shake, I feel extremely bloated. Sometimes when I go to a restaurant, I get bloated to the point I can’t even walk. I’m not sure if I’m overeating or something changed.
