I prefer remote learning. For too long there has been a push for the teachers to make sure the kids do this & that & the other. Did we remind them? Did we put it on the board? Did we call home? Give a second chance? Meet after school? Etc. When done well, with remote learning, you can really nail down exactly what you want them to do & then it’s up to them.

I prefer remote learning because as a veteran teacher some of the student behaviors have just become untenable. Unfortunately, I"ve worked in neighborhood schools where most parents do nothing at home with their children and Principal and school district support is nonexistent.

I want to teach, I want students to learn, I want respect and I don't want to 'catch a case'.

I'm also immunocompromised, so a return to F2F instruction could literally be my death.

At least, with virtual instruction, I get to learn about and use more technology. This is great because I love to learn!

Hey fishes,
I am selected in EY and had 3 client round too.
I have around 3 YOE in devops. But from Interview I get feeling they want me to handle the setup from scratch and only one other Devops resource is there it seems. I haven't worked as primary in my current role and I am nervous that there will be too much of expectation and I won't be able to deliver without guidance as some of the tech is new to me.I don't think I have the expertise that they need. Should I not join?
Pls advice.

I've been holding my future down payment in a HYSA thinking I would buy a house in 1-2 years. I may be changing my mind to 3-4 years later.

If I do, should I invest the entire amount in VTI? Or a portion? Once it gets to a year or so before buying, I would withdraw the money. In theory the market could be down, but I'm okay with delaying my purchase another year if that happens. I'm also pretty new to investing, so I really feel like I missed out on this past year's market gains...

I have a job offer in hand right now and it is a big jump from my current TC. However the company/sector is not an ideal fit. I desperately want to leave my current company ASAP so I’m leaning towards accepting, but continuing to interview with other companies that are aligned in sector. Any tips on how to navigate this with the new target companies I will interview with in the first 1-3 months of starting this gig?
