Dear Partners - Excuse if already being asked (I spent reasonable effort to re-use through 'search') I'm a 3rd year M pursuing an SM promo. I believe I'm doing well in my current role, and also believe I could do more. Could you help me with these Qs : 1. What can I do to ensure I'm an EFFECTIVE M3 2. What does a EFFICIENT SM1/SM2 look like for you? 3. At this stage I am in, what can I do to make my SM promo a REASONABLE "shoo in"? I'm working with key PPMDs on my promotion readiness. Thx!
Help! I have a T2 offer & need to hurry for the final decision. I also have a pending offer from AWS and I’m expecting an offer @ Netflix. Both Netflix and AWS are aware that I have the offer. AWS is rushing the final process (they need to put me in touch with a team manager in a different division before the offer). Netflix is silent for a week but i was told on last call that I passed the onsite interview and they wanted me on a higher/mgr level with a different team too. What would you do?
I just barely started at my firm and got staffed on a project which requires travel. My firm only allows me to expense hotels on a personal card, everything else goes on the corporate Amex. I’ve had a venture one card for 2 years now but am thinking about getting the chase sapphire reserve. Kind of lost here - any advice?
Looking at you MBB & FAANG
For anyone debating whether to go in house, I recently went in house, and the mental health benefit of not having to worry about billable hours is completely worth the switch. It's great not having to worry about catching up on hours when I'm out for a doctor's appointment, vacation, etc. It's more of a mental health relief than I guessed it would be.

For those of you, who work for companies that want to return to in-person work from fall, are you planning to change jobs for a full-time/mostly remote option? I feel my company in financial services tech is thinking backwards, and that I need to move asap.

What personal finance / investing books would you recommend to someone in their late twenties who is starting to have decent amounts of capital to invest?

Being the only expert around? Hey everyone, I’m looking to head in-house in the next 12 months, but I work in a specialized area with v few openings. I just noticed a job posting for a senior counsel role at a startup. This would be my first in-house role so I was wondering if anyone could speak to their experience as the only expert/specialist in their area at a company? Recognize it’s a massive growth opportunity but also scared of the big jump in responsibility/no safety net.
Hello All, I have been recently interviewed by HCL. In 1st round interviewer is very much impressed and tell me directly i am happy and recommend you to the HR. Now in 2nd round, interviewer didn't joined the interview and I have send an email to the hr stating the same. Now HR has Ghost me nor returning my email or call. What to do now, is there any way to check the current status? Thanks for your time and support.
Staying at an established middle market firm where realistic partner track is about 10 -12 years vs moving to big4 or MBB. Pros & cons of both?
