Thoughts on the best way to hold cash I'm planning to use it as housing down payment in ~6 months? Thinking about placing it in my existing HYSA (which isn't all that HY) rather than investing given volatility of markets and capital gains taxes but maybe there's other ideas. Sources will be existing investments, cast bonus and sale of current property.
Why is the burnout/always working culture in public accounting so accepted? Why don’t these firms hire more people to staff the clients so we can have normal hours as well? How have accountants collectively not pushed back for 40 hour weeks year round? It seems like now is the time because public accounting is being exposed as you can see everyone leaving for industry for this reason.
Skype dropping calls working from home. I have fios. Internet speed test says 58.3 mbps DL and 37.6 UL. On wifi, haven't tried ethernet yet. Anyone else have similar problem? Getting very frustrated.
