I currently work for Molina. Pay is average 2% yearly raise if you meet all the metrics. it’s hybrid for the most part multi state licenses and lots of back and forth on schedules from Telehealth to in person at the drop of a hat. Schedule can change from one day to the next or same day. You are expected to work all time zones Telehealth and also in home assessments. Policy is constantly changing it’s hard to keep up. It’s hard to plan ahead. The culture is good but highly focused on productivity and metrics with no productivity bonuses. You are expected to revolve your life around work as a priority even on days off. You are expected to take on extra roles without additional compensation like training, meetings , PowerPoints, assisting the managers in addition to your regular patient load. Sometimes it feels like we are micromanaged. It’s ok. Great benefits, tuition reimbursement, student loan repayment, 3% retirement match. Probably the same as any other medical insurance job.
I have applied several times and keep getting rejected. I am qualified for the roles I am applying for. Are they on a hiring freeze? What gives, any ideas?
Thanks. Im up for a Program Manager position
Any tips to get into Optum?
Do not come to Optum or United. Health benefits really suck. I pay for the most expensive plan and they exclude most “new” FDA approved medications. All the while they do pay for those medications for external clients who sign their employees up with them at the same or cheaper cost share.
