I've recently been contacted by QuantumBlack Switzerland for a Data Engineer role. Does anybody have any feedback about the culture of the company?
From the outside it seems pretty cool, but I would like to read some thoughts.
Also, any suggestion on how to prepare for the interview?
Thanks in advance

Has avanade laid off employees this year?
I don’t work there but my feeling is that they’re not customer obsessed. They don’t listen to their community when it comes to things people want and bug fixes take a long time.
Some of their updates are solid, such as how they manage the library between albums and songs. If I like one song from an album, I don’t want that album to show up in an “album” view. Spotify gets that.
But...Apple Watch integration? HomePod integration? *crickets*
I've been working at Spotify for more than 5 years.
I highly recommend working there, if work-life balance is important to you.
Salary is great, even if not as high as FAANG. Benefits are very good, too.
It's pretty hard moving up the tech hierarchy, but at the same time you get a lot of autonomy to do your job and suggest new ideas. Note, YMMV depending on the squad/team you end up working at - squads get a lot of freedom with defining their workflow and process.
Culture is pretty much non-toxic, but far from perfect.
Good to know. Culture is something that's really important for me, and since I'm interviewing for a non technical job, I hope that the positive culture expands across the entire org!
I dont work there but know a good deal of current and former employees and the reviews are mostly all positive. Negatives are that advancement can be slow but it's a stable job and good coworkers/company culture.
That's good to know. Thank you!!
