H1B visa and 6 years are almost up. Received approved perm and waiting on I-140 followed with the 3 year extension. To switch from company A to company B - what are the factors that are to be considered?
Does anyone use their personal credit card instead of the corporate Amex to build their own points?
Can I enter US with a H1-B visa stamp that’s expiring in a couple of weeks? I have a 797 approval notice for next 3 year cycle, but won’t have time for getting it stamped due to family emergency.
Hey guys, I’ve worked as an Analyst in the pharmaceutical company and will be moving to Jersey soon. You know how it is with H1-B candidates and unfortunately my company did not sponsor my visa. I still have 2 attempts on my STEM OPT to apply for H1-B, and am open to opportunities, especially in New York. Would appreciate any guidance, advice or thoughts of value.
Is the $550 fee for Chase Reserve worth it?
My fiancé will be moving from India to US. She did her masters from US but moved back due to some personal reasons. What are some options for her work visa? Anyone been in similar situation?
I booked flights using Chase portal - The flights are cheaper now do they price match? First time using the service just wanted to use all my reward points.
Capital One Venture or CSR?
HELP!!!!! I can't pick between Amex Gold and Chase Sapphire Preferred. Leaning towards Amex as it has 4x on groceries and dining.
CSR card holders: are the 1.5x travel redemptions actually good options for travel? Considering it but I can go with regional bank cc and elect 3x pts on dining as well
EY audit peeps, do we get the AICPA membership paid for? And do I just charge my ethics exam materials though the AMEX?
Equinox members - how is the at home personal training experience? Do you get assigned a live trainer or someone to chase you to get your workout done? I have the Future app and thinking of making the switch
I fly a lot. What’s a good credit card for that?
New tax SM here focused on mainly F500 provisions with a technology background - wondering where to take my career at this point. Does it make sense to take a tax M/SM job in industry, chase the carrot of 5-6 years at SM, or try to pivot into straight tax technology (either in industry or public)? I have a lot of goodwill built up at my firm and I work hard, but I am so incredibly burnt out after the last two years.
Best strategies to use CSR card?
18% of bitcoin purchases are made with a Credit card. JPMorgan and BOA moves to ban them outright. Other banks are treating them as a cash advance. With the bloodbath, bigger loss reserve required.
Interviewing with BDO partner. Any tip on what kind of questions to ask? Very nervous since it’s more of an advisory related job!
After having a pandemic baby, grinding non stop for the last year and dealing with massive understaffing cause everyone is finding new jobs - i’m done. Anyone have success talking a leave of absence at their agency and then rolling into contract/freelance work?
Would you confront a senior leader on inappropriate behaviour yourself (remarks about gender and race) or would prefer your coach to do that? What would be the merits / consideration that you should factor in?
I’ve got an interview as a mid level lawyer in a large multinational FMCG company. The head of legal in our jurisdiction appears to actually have less legal experience (not judging, and don’t think that necessarily makes me a better lawyer). Just wondering if this is a red flag from a learning perspective? Will I be stunted working under someone with less experience?
Have the option to transfer to Canada (Vancouver/Toronto/Montreal) and keep my US salary or to London at a 10% paycut. My current salary is 100K USD which will be ~65K GBP if London and ~125K CAD if Canada. Obviously my salary will go further in Canada but London sounds too cool to pass on. So my main question is: will living on 65K in London be comfortable enough that I just do it for the experience? Currently in NYC at 3 yoe and will go back to the US after 1 year for MBA. Please advise!
What are y’all thoughts on using Slack for team collaboration? Is it just me or is the platform over complicated and clunky?
Remote week this week. Fiancé thinks I have to travel but will surprise him by being home when he's done work! It's the little things.
For those of you planning an early retirement through FIRE, what comes after? Relax and travel or a second, more fulfilling career? I just hit some major milestones I set for myself after undergrad and am working to set a new list of goals. I’ve always wanted to “retire” by 40, but curious to see what others have planned once they reach their $$$ goal.
Anyone ever take a case interview with Adobe? Any advice? What’s it like? How to prepare? Thank you!

Was so excited to get home & see my BF after 3 weeks of international travel, I slammed my hand in the UBER door, needless to say, he had to take me to the hospital and I now have 9 stitches 🙃😕
For those companies / roles with unlimited pto, how does a payout work if you leave and /or are laid off? Receive nothing or some set amount?
Nightmare situation today at my first Zoom trial. On Friday, the court said trial would begin at 1:30 PM on Monday. We informed our clients and all our witnesses to be ready at that time. Never got a Zoom link, figured it would show up Monday morning. At 9:01 AM on Monday, we get an email saying, among other things, “Defense counsel has not appeared for trial.” Then, another email came immediately after that, with a Zoom link included. It’s just me and the paralegal in the office at this point.
Going around the room saying what we were thankful for... my wife says, “for our growing family.” Looks like Baby #2 is on its way! She said I couldn’t tell anyone yet, so I’m telling just you guys 😍
