Does anyone else feel all this talk about “agency culture” is at direct odds with diversity and inclusion?

How important is getting the VP promote before changing funds post-MBA? Been at current fund for ~9 months and they told me I’m on track to be promoted in 3 months. But the culture there is awful and I can’t stand the people. Also plan to be in a different city long-term anyways. Given how hot the market is right now, do I need to wait for my promotion to look at other firms?

Yes! The stretching of "diversity” seems to be such a widespread symptom of this industry’s fear of addressing the uncomfortable realities of race within it. A distraction? Very “All Lives Matter” ...

Some companies are not taking diversity beyond cosmetics and do not seem to be committed to equity and inclusion. Exhibit A: The credentials of some of the recently hired DEI “executives”. Exhibit B: Average tenure of said executives tend to be about 12 months. And parting tends not to be amicable.

This past Friday we lost another teacher in our district. It happens to be at a school that I service. Both schools that I service have a teacher who died over the break. Got 2 new job offers from 1 Cap Invent and a start up. Currently on 41k SA at PwC (2 years at SA & 2 years at associate) Cap Invent is a senior consultant at 58k as a Technical Programme Manager and the start up is 62.5k as a customer success manager.
