Just got rejection from BCG for SA position (PIPE) at CV screening stage. Have 3.5 years of CDD experience and a master from the UK. Had a PL referral who is working in PIPE (London). PL told me I have a great CV but still did not get the interview.
Not sure what to do. Super disappointed :(

Our agency will say they’re working on a lot of DEI initiatives, and perhaps they are, but there’s little focus on internal culture change. An unconscious bias training is fine, but it doesn’t give us a forum for discussing issues that arise on a day-to-day basis.

I don’t feel this way but that’s probably because this year I took a lead role as part of my agency’s DEI team and am guiding a lot of what’s actually being done.

Is it possible that Inclusive talent have no interest in your firm? It’s hard to gauge hiring when we don’t know the candidate pool that was presented for these positions. Was there a diverse talent pool to begin with? Have the hiring managers been trained to recognize their own unconscious bias? What is being done to cultivate and grow talent within your firm? We have to remember that hiring is a two way street and if your firm is performative in their DEI initiatives and promises the diverse talent you are trying to recruit will have offers at other top firms that meet their needs.
