Does anyone else feel like they are ALWAYS sick? Any immune system tips from the frequent travelers out there? (I don’t, but figure that’s the prime audience to learn the tricks from.)

Carry hand sanitizer and wet wipes everywhere. Use them frequently. Make them available for anyone around you to use as well.

I may be crazy / bad for my immune system but I wipe down my luggage handle and computer, mouse, phone weekly - and right after I fly (each way). Those bins at airport security are often dirtier than toilet seats and carry so many germs. I also take Zicam if I feel a cold coming on. Also drink a lot of water and don’t touch your face.

Best way to support your immune system is Sleep. Be disciplined about it, like you would with a project. Since I took this approach I rarely get sick. But I have to confess I now put it ahead of friends or entertainment if I have to chose.

I have never taken the nasal spray - just the dissolving tablets

I use antibacterial wipes and wipe down my entire seat area for every flight I’m on... especially the back of the tray table the air vent, armrests etc, I also do it in the hotel room as soon as I enter, remote control, light switches, curtail rods etc.

EmergenC!!!!! The tablets or pack to mix into water. Get the immunity + ones. Also, I swear by the raspberry flavor. I literally swear by these, it keep me from getting sick when I take them daily OR right when I get a feeling I may be getting sick I take several a day and it goes away. Seriously it’s a life changer

How is your diet, sleep, and stress level? No supplements can substitute for sleep, good food, and piece of mind when it comes to immune health. I’m an immunologist.

If you can do one of the three, priorities sleep.

Sleep. Sleep. Sleep. Good food, use that per diem to treat your healthy self. Create a routine and manage stress. Stress and sleep are what really get you.

Any vitamins or supplements that have worked well? I’ll start carrying more wipes with me for the office! We’re always in different team rooms so I can do a lot better sanitizing those spaces.

Ensuring you have your daily dose of Vitamin C + Zinc + Vitamin D helps. Brand is less of a concern (as long as it's USP certified) as long as you take it regularly. I found I didn't take my vitamins as often because the fishy smell made me nauseous so I switched to Ritual and have gotten sick much less frequently since. I also get my daily dose of C from food so it was less of a concern that it's not included.

Apple Cider Vinegar tea helps clear my head / congestion - I dilute a tablespoon a day. Or you could add it to kombucha and won’t be able to taste it! Def not a real “cure” for anything but I do feel like it’s helped my day to day wellbeing.

Get tested. HIV and other immunosuppressive diseases look like this

I’ve done a full STD panel prior to settling down with my SO. Otherwise, I’ve asked several primary docs and no one seems concerned that I have anything other than allergies. But I don’t have allergies according to the allergist haha

Do you take multivitamins every morning?

Any advice on sleep meds then? I usually can’t sleep until 3-4am and alarm goes off around 7.

Does anyone have trouble getting their SO to be more cleanly? My SO and I moved in together 1 ur ago and I feel like I’m constantly reminding him to do certain chores or pick up I after himself. I’m nice about it but it’s exhausting and a lot of the time he gets defensive or annoyed when I ask. I don’t have high expectations, just doing dishes as they pile and not pleasing clothes on the floor, putting dishes in the sick when you’re done etc. Anyone else had this problem?

I know it can clear by itself in 1-2 yearsand like 80% of people have it with no symptoms but my mom and I seem to always be in that 1% of medical patients where we experience symptoms. Also my health insurance is changing at the end of the month so I’m now worried money-wise too 😭😭😭

Does anyone know someone who was placed on a pip who then found a way to get on medical leave so could apply to jobs while still employed? (Idea being that you greatly extend your opportunity to look for jobs while still being able to say you’re at current firm. Example: Person gets 1 month pip, gets medical leave, then is able to look for new jobs for many months rather than 1 month. If you don’t know anyone, any opinions on how this could work?

Thinking of leaving and joining industry once ACCA qualified. (One more paper left). But people around me discourage that growth potential and earnings in industry are way less compared to public accounting. I know that too but I still want to leave. I'd like to stick to core accounting. Thoughts pls
