Does anyone else feel like they're applying to positions they'd like / might take (but not a "dream job") in part for the interviewing experience?

Need advice. Interviewing for an internal role to lead a team adjacent to my current team. I’m trying to prepare for the interview, during which I’ll be asked to share my plan for the team. I’ve worked with two of the people on the team who will report to whomever gets this job. I have an SVP who is so aggressive in every meeting that I’ve started having anxiety attacks whenever I know we have something scheduled. Intense micromanaging, negative, triple A-type personality. This is a woman, a point I only make so we’re not assuming the “aggro bro dude” situation.

Now I’m finding this intense anxiety sitting with me even when I’m off work.

How do you manage your mental health when someone like this is unavoidable?

My husband and I eloped but are planning our formal wedding in Spring 2023 - this was the right choice for us for many reasons that I don’t need to detail haha. Anyway, we just found a great deal for our dream honeymoon, but the catch is that the trip would be this fall.

Would it be insane for us to do our honeymoon before our formal wedding but after our elopement? We would still do something smaller after the wedding next year!
