Verizon. This company only cares about numbers and does not promote based on how good you are. Office politics plays a bigger role. Verizon schedules your schedule based on their needs and not on yours. You are just a number at this company. I was told to sell a credit card to a poor man who couldn't afford to pay his next rent payment so that he can buy accessories. Verizon talks about "integrity" But that's just BS. I have never worked for a company it morally so corrupt.

I've had really great luck with cold texting leads with a short pitch and adding a Calendly link. Allows them to hold onto a way to schedule a conversation when they need your service or when it works best for them.
Smart, I don’t have Calendly setup, but will look into it.
At previous companies I felt the same way if we didn’t have a Sales Intelligence tool like the one I sell- or similar to our competitors. Previously I used our competitor to be fair.
Maybe it’s a matter of better identifying what your ideal customer profile looks like? Or just finding the right contacts within those organizations.
Hope that helps!
Haha, thank you both. Appreciate the insight and ideas. It’s been a frustrating year, and it’s always helpful to hear an outside perspective.
It can be very frustrating and challenging. But try to remember this is a very hard time. Its not always something that you're directly doing wrong.
Get creative with your messaging. People are responding more to shorter quirkier emails. They also want to see something different even if it's just a different tone.
I can relate to this completely - I’m calling on “leads” also in a niche market - I feel like I get nowhere in my day
How do you overcome the mental strain? I am just starting out in this role and it’s tough WFH
See if you can’t qualify them better. Check their press. Then bang away.
It be like that. Depends though, are you doing B2C or B2B? B2C (if you aren’t already) use a dialer so you can go through 100+ leads. B2B, need to invest in good data.
So every lead you’ve gone through, either didn’t have the certification or...? Also, is there a way to verify if they do without asking them (in case they’re lying to get you off the phone)? Is your product or service a one call close less expensive solution or more expensive involving more decision makers?
Depends who the dm is. I would start calling in lower and ask questions to qualify and find out if they have the specific problem you fix. Then take that information to the DM and make a case for why they should meet with you.
Experiencing the same. I'm essentially the Enterprise guy but the people who handle our small accounts are routed these huge leads that should be coming to me. I get it, like they can close these also, but why am I the Enterprise guy then? I get a ton of leads each day that are almost contributing nothing to my goals.
Sounds like a lead routing issue... have you brought it up to sales ops or your boss?
