Hello Fishes, I'm in my NP and lwd is sep 19th. I gave technical round for Accenture last week. It's cleared and same is reflected in Accenture portal. Even HR called and discussed about salary and offer negotiations. I agreed to the amount that she said. After that she told that i will have to attend a final Managerial round. But still she hasn't arranged it. When asked about it today, she said that she is looking for a interview slot with panelist. Anyone know what's happening in this case? Acce

Can someone kindly connect me with Investment Banking HR/Recruiter/anyone willing to help? My friend interviewed for Goldman Sachs NY. Cleared the HireVue but didn’t get any communication further. It’s been 4 weeks now. Although the referral came from a VO but the division is different. My friend is looking for Investment Banking division. Need to get in touch with someone from investment banking to push the resume. The rolling process is hurting the chances.Thank you Goldman Sachs

Take time off. Generally, at least my firm, it’s understood that people will be working less or not at all during the week of Christmas to New Years (unless, of course, there is something really pressing). But, still, if there’s no same understanding at your firm, send out emails letting people know that you will be taking time off.
I wouldn’t worry about the perception. It’s totally understandable that you need time off if you haven’t taken it all year (especially how hard this year has been). You need to take care of yourself. Also, I tend to respect associates more who can take time off and aren’t afraid of letting people know that they aren’t available.
What? Yes. I take 100% of my vacation time (20 biz days) every year regardless. Just do it responsibly.

If you are above your hours, you shouldn’t feel any pressure about it. Especially in late December when many are taking we facto vacations anyway.
The question becomes significantly trickier when you’re playing catch up.
I feel like in 99 cases out of 100, asking for / taking vacation is only a big deal in the associate’s head. Definitely use your time.
