Does anyone else get really terrible hangxiety? Lately with meeting new people post covid and my social anxiety I’ve been drinking quite a bit to loosen up and be friendlier, but the next morning I have ruminating thoughts that they hated me or maybe I did something weird etc. And yes I know logically I shouldn’t drink so much but I do love to party. Just wondering if I’m alone in this. Making new friends in your 20’s can be difficult

Hangxiety is officially a new word. I’m going to submit it for consideration to be added to the dictionary!

Making friends as a working adult sucks.

Sheeeit try making friends in your 30s or 40s! Most of my boys are becoming geriatric but blame fatherhood. I really don’t get it! I still want to go out and play.

40 something yo single female with 2 kids. Yeah, things that are not happening. 😂💀

There are two sides to hangxiety. One is physiological — your blood pressure, hydration, histamine level, sleep-wake triggers and hormones etc are out of whack bc you pleasantly poisoned yourself. The other is social-psychological — worrying you were out of control or foolish.

For the first one, you have to find the protocol that works for you and stick to it like clockwork. Hydrate, get your vitamins and salt in balance, get sunshine early in the day, eat something sensible and protein heavy early to help anchor blood sugar and get your system in shape so it’s not contributing to spiraling thoughts or overstimulation

For the second one, hydrate while you’re drinking and you’ll be less sloppy drunk. Make a practice of picking one or two rounds where you drink slower so you don’t go drink for drink with people. And in the morning as you go for your walk with your nice little smoothie and the evening comes back in flashes and you start to feel the tickle of worry, remember the most important thing of all — ain’t nobody studyin’ you

I approve of the new word! But yeah I agree, not so much of doing weird stuff but still trying to find it’s ok to even meet new people in this climate of the pandemic. I even get nervous hanging with some closer friends because I’m not trying to get Covid or pass it along to any of my loved ones. Feels like walking on thin ice tbh

My husband yells at me in front of my 2 years old, even when he is scared. He needs to express his anger out before he can shut down. I am planning to leave him but I am hesitant because I am afraid this would negatively impact my son more, not having a father figure around much.... not the first time, my husband promises multiple time that at least he would control his anger in front of kid but never Lee up the promise...sometimes he would even throw stuff (not at me and my child)...

Is it normal to have let down just on one side? I am 1 week postpartum. On day 4, I had to rush to ER for some@severe pain and was stuck there for 5 hours. During this time I had let down just on my right breast. I assumed the lefy one didn’t have any because I had placed a medella soreness gel pad there. Today again j was sleeping and woke up to feed baby. RealIzed I had let down again only on right side despite more having any gel pad. Is this normal? Should i be worried?

Hello everyone I have 29 years as a dental professional in Texas. I started as a dental assistant back in 1993. As my career progressed as a RDA, I moved to the front office and eventually management. I even taught dental assistants and became the Program Director of a DA program. COVID opened up remote work for me, I manage eclaims, claims corrections and billing for two offices. $20 per hour, no bonuses or incentives, I know I am not getting paid enough! Any input would be appreciated.

I am lucky to have mild symptoms.

I do have 1 symptom which is troubling. I feel extreme anxiousness. I have trouble sitting still and trouble sleeping. I have trouble concentrating. The doctor says anxiety is a somewhat common symptom and that Cedars Sinai is studying the potential for long term impact.

Anyone else experience this? I have never felt this before. I have a huge new appreciation for those who suffer from anxiety on a regular basis in everyday life.

Any good detox diets that good to try out and not horrroble for your body? I want to curb some sugar cravings and bad eating habits over the past year. Has anyone done one they liked? I was thinking of starting a 3 day detox then go into 7days of a white meat/fruit cleanse for a week. Then just stop eating like a complete child on holiday after those are done 😅 any advice on what helped you get past the cravings and level set would be helpful! Neither my husband nor I are good with change and when my husband and I went for the ultrasound he nervously asked "she's too sick to eat anything other than her vitamins and water, is it ok for her and the baby to go without?" Our doctor just smiled and replied "don't worry, baby takes" I don't know why but that was so funny to us. It kind of became our mantra as we navigate and move our life around that "baby takes," its made it feel more Us vs Change rather than Me vs Him. Thought I'd share

I get the perspective of team unity, but is it wrong to feel there is no reason to risk my health? The company justifies increasing my covid risk (high-risk already) to “show face”, when my job is being fulfilled while WFH. Am I crazy?

Hi tax 🐠,

I have a question for those who prep individual tax returns. My parents claim my grandfather as a dependent on their tax return and due to their low income, receive PTC for the premiums they pay on his insurance (not eligible for medicare). However, would it be advantageous to have him file for his own tax return (he stays with my parents and doesn't have his own proof of residency via bills). If so, can he get PTC if his income is 0?
