It has happened to me too. I just add everything to my firm calendar now
Just invite to both accounts?
@A2 when I setup meetings that's how I try to do it, but in this case the client invited me via my firm's calendar which I accepted and never checked since I've been using the client calendar ... Easily avoidable but it's not the last time this will happen
@OP You don't use both laptops? That's really weird. We always keep both open and monitor them for emails from the client and firm responsibilities. If I'm not logged into IM, then someone is questioning if I'm actually working.
Our work is highly confidential and involve excessive PII. We have to do all client work on their laptops for security reasons.
OMG this is seriously one of the pushers that makes me want to get out of consulting
Always forward
I either forwarded or just blocked the time on whatever calendar didn't have the actual invite on it
D1 you serious??
Yes, I'm serious. It's an optics thing. If you are always offline, then how can you appear to be working? Plus all my projects use the firm email to run the project (internal communication) because anything on the client laptop is easily discoverable to them. Please tell me I don't have to further explain.
My last 3 clients have used Lync which is compatible with ours. You can't use webmail? There is also a VDI option... So I am still puzzled why you need second laptop to the point where it goes without further explanation lol
D1 on projects like that it completely makes sense...
